Q: What is Summit Renters?
A: Summit’s renters insurance program is a specialized solution, within a broader suite of insurance and risk management offerings for mid-large size residential property managers and landlords. Residents of these partners have unique access to a streamlined renters insurance product that has a very simple quote and buy online process.
Q: I need tenant insurance
A: You can head over to Summit Renters to get a quote.
Q: I How do I cancel my policy?
A: All requests for cancellation need to be sent via email to renters@summitcover.ca. Please have your policy number, requested cancellation date and reason for cancellation included in the email.
Q: I may have put the wrong address on my policy. Can I get that changed?
A: Yes, please email renters@summitcover.ca with your policy number and the correct address, we will update it for you within one business day and send your new documents.
Q: I would like to buy renters insurance bur I don't have a credit or debit card, can I still purchase?
A: Unfortunately our renter's insurance is purchased online and requires either Mastercard, visa or visa debit.
Q: How do I get a copy of my renters insurance policy/certificate?
A: These documents would have been sent to you when you purchased, if you do not see them check your spam filter as well. If you still don't see them, drop your email, name and policy number below and we can send them over by email.
Q: Am I able to cancel within the year, I may only be at this address for a few months?
A: Yes, yes, you are able to cancel within the year and you would be refunded the unearned premium portion. You can also just transfer this renters policy to your new address. To do that, please email renters@summitcover.ca and provide your policy number along with the new address and when you will be moving.
Q: How much does your renters insurance cost?
A: Our renters insurance policies start at $220 annually (you can pay monthly) and increase based on added coverages and increased limits. You can customize a quote here.
Q: How do I speak with an agent?
A: You can connect with our agents here on livechat or alternatively you can email renters@summitcover.ca or by phone at 250-900-5499.
Q: How do I make a renters insurance claim?
A: To start your claim, we need you fill out the Notice of Loss form linked below. This will allow us to gather all necessary information to proceed with a claim.
Do you also sell pet insurance?
A: Yes, we have a partnership with Fetch Insurance, the leading pet insurance provider in North America.

S: Absolutely, we can send you a customer portal link where you can update your card details securely online.
